    Not a very long spike but I love the dark red color.

    Love the color. I have noticed that some of my spikes are not as big as usual. I think it may be weather related. We had a very,very hot summer and autumn has been very mild so far. We haven't had our first frost yet and in our area of Pennsylvania first frost is usually around October 15th.
