Very subtle and graceful blooms. Good job with your camera also. Wish my photos were this good.
The colour is so unusual, which is a good part of the attraction. I have grown it once, but lost it quickly , I suspect through going into S/H at the wrong point in the growing cycle . There are also a few hyrids from this, currently available - I have seen them brought to UK shows in the last couple of years, but the unusual colour has led to dealers asking unusual prices , and if the dealer is too obviously making hay while the sun shines it can be a turn off ,even for an orchid obsessive like me.
Thanks for your comments, Al, use macro lens if your camera is SLR type you will get amazing result,Geoff this is warm growing well they prefer a lots of moisture during growing season infact some of the plants immerse in the water for a long period of time without causing harmful to the plants. I saw my friends used flower foam (which is green in color to make it the flowers lasting in bouquet,) this species really like it because of constant moiture.
Thanks for that tip Zain, I will think of them a bit more favourably , when I am browsing dealers sites.
How very beautiful, I've never heard of this beauty before.
