Thanks Amey for the info. Cym devonianum is supposed to do that but the problem with some of the cyms for sale here is that they are all NOID.

I've taken a chance with the cross of a warm paph x cool paph, liemianum x spicerianum and guess what . It's blooming at the moment! Will post a picture of it soon.

Great, if someone could cross all the cyms. with Golden elf, we could have such a big variety available !

Dear Yew, I live in Southern California & I believe these particular plants came from a hybridizer less than 100 miles up the coast from me. That being said I think they are well acclimatized to being held at 70-80 f day and down to 45 or so at night in winter. I think you would have to jump thru a lot of hoops to get them to bloom in your part of the world.
