The current leaves will probably not recover, but new ones should be just fine.
just a personal opinion, i had revived several phalenopsis by using mounting them to a fern slate with the root exposed for good aeration and water them twice daily. and i would definitely avoid direct sun before new good roots appears. a well lighted area away from direct sun would be better. sometimes i even trimmed about 2/3 of the big leaves away if the roots are not in good condition (to reduced transpiration rate by reducing surface leave area).
currently i am reviving one phalenopsis by using SH technique after having the roots "cured". good luck.
Good on you Emeli! Make sure that the pot is well drained and does not sit in water in the other pot it is standing in. My only advise would be not to overwater as you see new roots developing as this is a common mistake that I happen to do myself!
Good luck with it!
thanks for all your advice!! All be updating in the future.
