Had this beautiful Cypripedium reginae in flower a couple of weeks ago.
Also had a totally white one with a single flower. Unfortunately the pictures of this ssp. 'alba' are rather fuzzy.

Lovely! Just love the phrags!
Rudy, are you sure it's a phragmipedium? Because to me it looks like a Cypripedium. Beautiful flowers!
Beautiful flowers !!! Congrats on the blooms. Now I just thing it's a Cypripedium instead because of the foliage and flower. Beautiful non the less. One of the lady slippers that I can't grow.
You're absolutely right.
It's Cypripedium reginae.
Will change the header rightaway

Here's a picture of the ssp. 'alba'.
It was almost 'devoured' by a snail when it just came out.
It had serious leaf damage and therefore I really didn't expect it to get flowering this year.

Are these on your window sill too ? Not easy there I would have thought,. and surely hardy in the garden in Belgium ?
But apart from the flower, the foliage here is really lovely. I do like to see perfect leaves.
