    Default Asconopsis Irene Dobkin - a 40-year love affair - a new Chapter

    I posted about Ascps Irene Dobkin last January . Now 6 months later I have managed to rebloom it. Since the blooms 2 weeks ago i've been looking at it a few times a day and called over a few friends to look at it. The response have been from 'Wow" to a polite 'I guess it's OK' and a 'What's all the fuss?'

    There are 20 blooms on a spike with 2 side branches. The flowers are 1 inch (2.5 cm) across and the plant has 4 pairs of leaves.

    I just hope I'll manage to keep it alive and healthy for a few more years.

    BTW this inter-generic is Asctm miniatum x Phal Doris 4n. This particular clone, a meristem, is the 'Elmhurst' HCC/AOS clone.

    I discovered this orchid and fell in love with it the first time you showed it on this forum Yew, but this time I should say: 'Hats Off'
    I simply can't find the right words to describe that feeling of Awe I have when looking at the pictures. I can't imagine seeing it in real......

    Shes a ravishing beauty, I can totally understand why you fell in love with her LOL ! Very beautiful and plentiful blooms. So many blooms just signify that she is very happy with you, so stop worrying about just keeping her alive. Congrats Yew !
