I concur with you, Angela, re the arching spray. I prefer the 'natural bent' of the spike/spray as opposed to the artificially induced/forced upright form. Of course I'm not against a bit of staking, as long as it helps to better display the blooms but within the bounds of its natural tendency to be upright, angled or pendulous. I can't imagine an upright spike of Phal gigantea! I have not seen a Trichocentrum undulatum in full bloom, in real life, but I've been privileged to see a well-grown clump of Onc spacelathum with 8 sprays each about 6 feet long, cascading down like a waterfall of gold. It was an awesome sight! ( And that was more than 40 years ago )

Pleeeease, Angela, post pictures of your undulatum in its full glory - in its natural pendulous spray, of course.

I will post a Pic. when the othe 4 spikes burst. They are taking forever. But then the one that I pictured took from Feb. to July to finally open!!!
It was worth the wait.
