    Guys, you are right. It is a Phal. intermedia, a natural hybrid native to my country. It's supposed to occur naturally only on the island of Leyte in the Philippines. Has since found its way around the country.

    yea, i would be inclined to agree more with those that actually grow them. I have a great book i look in for ID's, but it isnt always accurate.

    Yes, Andrew, an heirloom indeed. I got this one from my grandma's garden. It fell into neglect after she passed away many years ago. Just had to save this phal.

    Thanks for that nice thought, Andrew. Yes, she would be pleased. I also managed to rescue her pteroceras orchid which I posted under "Other Genera". During her time, native Philippine species orchids were popular since hybrids were not yet readily available.
