I'm afraid I blew it with my new Zygopetalum noid today; I left it in bright sunlight as it is only Sept 3 and the sun is not hot (the temperature got to +17C). The air also feels cool. I'm afraid I was wrong. The leaves are now discolored in places and look almost transparent. Even the new leaf that is emerging has brown streaks on it. Will it recover from this mistreatment???? I was going to get a basket for it this weekend and hang it from a tree so that it would be protected from direct sun. I should have done that as the first thing...![]()

I would tend to be more vigilant, as Hamilton weather isnt as harsh as Christchurch weather!
