Vanda Gordon Dillon 'Lea' x Vanda Lourdes Apostal
This is a huge plant that has been a reluctant bloomer. The spike is as large around as my index finger.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the blooms. Don't think I have seen this cross before. One thing about these reluctant bloomers is that when they decide to bloom then they will usually put up a spectacular display. I have been waiting for quite some time for my Robert's Delight ' Garnet Beauty' to bloom and it hasn't shown any sign of doing so.
Oh that will be fun to see!!
So THAT'S what a vanda spike looks like. I have only one - a pretty young v. lilacina, but it seems really healthy and I keep watching for a spike somewhere - so far lots of root growths, but nothing I thought looked like a spike. Now I have a better idea - thanks for sharing!
Wow anxiously to wait the bloom, looking forward your post.
Waiting for these to bloom is a slow process. lol It teaches one patience...
Aah yes, patience now.Orchids do teach us to be how to wait.... haha... lovely!
cheers,
