Intermediate grower. 3" flower on a 4" plant. Flower normally will only last few hours but it blooms often like other species in the genus.

Very nice...this is a new one for me.
Another winner that you have introduced to. Way to go!
Great flower form and colors, especially that touch of color towards the petal tips. AL
Simply..... WOW!
Very cool bloom and photo. Your species seem, for the most part, to be really unusual - I haven't even seen them in the Atlanta Orchid Conservatory. What attracts you to these plants and do you run across them in real life, or do you have to order them? No specifics, of course, just a general question.

Pretty much every hobbyist will focus on certain groups of plants(personal preference) and look for the unusual after years of growing. I have changed my taste of orchids few times over the years but I still grow some Cattleyas, Laelias, Vandas, Paphs and even some Phals.
What attacts me to these plants? Well, I always like miniature/small species, and I really started to collect them when I was about to run out of room(growing space). Have I seen some of those in the wild? yes, I have seen some of those(especially the Pleurothallids) few times in south and central America but I haven't seen any in Asia or Africa.
Some of my plants are from private collectors(other hobbyists/orchid friends/forum friends), some of them are from commercial growers here(mail order or buy at shows) and some of them are from foreign growers(importing).
Bruce, I still will not do interview![]()
Insightful....Thank you.

Another stunner..and as usual great pic!.
Tom, I was wondering whether you know of any sources which help determine Diplocaulobium. I have D falangiferum and validicolle. The two plants look exactly the same in growth as well as flower and also look like the D aratriferum in your picture. See https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...ni-NzSWgUne28Q (in that picture the colouration of the lip can't be easily seen)
