Something disturbing has dawned upon me.
Paphs usually flower from the top of the stem, and multiflorals only have one stem, which takes about six years to mature, when they flower, right?
So I would take it that multiflorals first flower, and then push new growth, which then would take another six odd years to flower.
Essentially, that means its takes years for multiflorals to rebloom. This information makes me sad.
Please tell me I'm wrong or that there's a method to get them to rebloom every year or every second year.

It depends on how mature the plant is. And the blooms open from the bottom of the spike. Take a look at my post under "opening soon" in the paph/phrag photo section and you will see my multi-floral Bel Royal. She spiked last year, is in bloom now and has 2 new growths plus an unbloomed mature growth. I also have 2 multi floral phrags, and they also bloom at least one spike a year, off the latest maturing growth. It does take a few years for these plants to get to flowering size, but once there, each successive new growth can produce a spike. Also check out uncasteeb's Phragenstein... an amazing multi floral phrag.
Add to that, it's my most expensive orchid and isn't even flowering size!
