wow glad to hear it's easy to grow as it's on my want list.
The ones I have seen seem to be more purple and pink, is the color on yours purplish or brownish?
Mmm...light scent & easy to grow & pretty flowers. Great qualities!
Lovely flowers Traci.. and looks like the flowers are almost as big as the plant! Definitely a showstopper.
Cheers

The markings on the petals are a burgundy color. The lip has a nice sheer pink color to it. It is one of my favorites!Originally Posted by Diane
Thanks Tim. The actualy plant is rather small, so the flowers really pack a punch. It seems to go into spike WAY before the pb has finished maturing. I remember when I got it, the bulb couldn't be seen. It jusr kept on growing while it was flowering.Originally Posted by bench72
mine has thrown a spike on a half-grown pbulb too, but when i bought it, the spikes were from fully grown bulbs, but each had alredy had a previous spike, so maybe they kick one out as they grow, and another when they finish? also, the color of the flowers in photos depends on the lighting, light coming from behind, through the flower shows off more red-purple, light on top of the flower (or from behind the camera) makes them more mahogany-brown looking.
Cool that it has such big blooms on that size plant. This may have to go on my wish list!
