    Default Cattleya (Laelia) alaorii var. alba

    First home bloom for this little plant imported from Brazil in march 2011.
    These little pink spots on the column annoy me for an alba form but all the Laelia alaorii var.alba that I could see on the net are identical.

    A little flower but very cute.

    I can understand your annoyance with the pink spot, Eric. On an alba one expects no pigment at all. It is a gorgeous flower though. Lovely form and color. Very nice shot too. I like this alba form better than the normal. (If you get too annoyed with it, let me know. I'll send you my address and you can mail it off to me. heh. )

    What a beautiful orchid bloom. The pink color (spots) are so minor. Great looking bloom.
