    Connie, that would be a BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGG mistake. those pretty little purple-pink flowers would take over everything, you would never get the rid of them.
    The "Pride of Barbados" is not of the Hibiscus family. Botanical name Caesalpinia Pulcherrima- of the Pea family. As children we would pick the pod, take the outer skin off the pea and eat the inside.

    Wondering if you have Pride of Barbados 'Pink'? I've looked for it for sometime.
    There has been much Hybridising of this plant. you can get a Yellow, Orange, and Pink. I do not have any of these in my garden. I respect the plant as our National Flower but all said and done it grows like a weed, and has thorns to boot, so I'll admire in someone elses yard.

    Wow Angela those flowers very beautiful in Malaysia we also got this "Pride of Barbados" the color sometimes so outstanding here we called it" Semarak Api".
