cristata x tricolor
Naoki sent this to me last year as a gift. I was so pleased when it promptly threw a spike after arriving in Florida. Second blooming for me. Still a young plant but really starting to grow.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice !
There is a particularly nice clone out there, Roy.. 'Mary Motes'. I've been looking for that one for sometime. I'm hoping Redlands might have one, somewhere.
What an interesting vanda, Cathy! Nice going on getting it to bloom - you really seem to have the vanda golden touch!
Thank you, Maura. I just notice the bane of my existence! THRIPS. They have attacked a Kagawara spike that I have waited on for a couple of years. I going to spray today. These darn things. It makes me sick to look at it.

Interesting. Love the flower shape and lip that it inherited from cristata...
I wish I could grow cristata..we are too hot, here
Beautiful bloom and great gift!
cheers,

Yay! Yay! Yay! The flower is so darn cute, isn't it? It gives me a giggle when Iook at it.
Of course, its sibling is in bloom, BUT I broke the spike while I was watering. Oh well, it blooms all the time.
