Default Could this be a Miltassia?

    Hello
I bought this orchid in January, it was in bloom for 8 more weeks, fragrant
the tag said Cambria, but the blooms are huge compared to my other cambrias, and the pattern and colours, and shape of tepals remind me of a brassia

I think that "cambria" refers to any intergeneric orchid involving brassia, miltonia, oncidium, or odontoglossum. If that's so, then there should be quite a wide variety of what are called "cambrias," and miltassia would be one example. I could be wrong--others are more expert.

It looks a lot like a peloric Vuylstekeara Cambria (Vuyl. Rudra x Odm. Clonius), a very old cross (1970's). No Brassia in it's breeding that we know of, a lot of Odontoglossum and a little of Miltonia (vexillaria). Seems you have a rare plant!

I have one of those - it's one of my favourites! Flowers reliably every year, too & the fragrance is wonderful....

It reminds me of Degarmoara Stars & Bars 'Topper'... but whatever its name (or lack of name), I love it!!!
