Succes in the experiment of saving my miltoniopsis

Barely any roots and not a single wrinkled leaf, with two spikes? And a warm spot for a Miltoniopsis, no less. This little plant must have the strength of the Hulk.

I so want one now...actually I have for a while, but I've read that they're incredibly finicky and snobby towards their owners. lol

Well I don't know, I have read the same but mine are doing quite well
and I kept the plant warm untill it grew some roots, that was about 5 weeks ago
then moved it into a bright spot, medium temperature, spray daily with rain water with a drop of fertilizer
I was suprised too that it decided to grow 2 spikes
So now it has roots, and is on a windowsil so for in the night it gets cooler there
after it finishes blooming I will move it outdside next to the other miltoniopsis, they seem to like it

It's amazing how they really do look like exotic Pansies. I bet the Pansies are just gritting their teeth saying "We normal flowers can't even have one thing, can we?"

Although, as long as orchids have been around, I'd be willing to bet that Miltoniopsis was here first. Therefore, Pansies are actually the ones that look like the orchids! SEE WHAT I DID THERE?

Today I moved it to my office, where is cooler, so I hope blooms will keep longer (miltoniopsis flowers are quite senzitive, and rearly last more then 4 weeks in warm environment)
