One of my favorites "Rlc Haadyai Delight"

This just opened a couple of days ago unfortunately it was suppose to be double flowers but thrips got to one of them. This plant is one my oldest Catts this was a gift to my wife by her father about 6 years ago it normally blooms around this time of the year.

Lovely color, and with that difference in the lip shape, it almost doesn't look like a cattleya to me - how interesting! I'm sorry about the thrips - I just had a battle with them with my C. harrisoniana - one of my blooms won, thank goodness.

Kirk now that you mentioned this I really never noticed it WOW great catch and yes going back to pictures from earlier blooms Yes it has always done this.

Kirk you left me thinking with your finding earlier and I did a little more research from my pictures and I stand corrected believe it or not I found one of the pictures from last years double bloom and I was amazed to see that one of the flowers was exactly like the one I posted in this thread but the other was different the lip was infront of the petals, well now I can't wait to see what happens next bloom. Thanks

Oh that is pretty. I can't wait till my catts start to make sheaths right now they're still a bit young. Nice growing!
