    Such a luxury of climate to be able to plant outside like that - does it never get too hot for them? My deck can get to be over 100F and I'm a few hundred miles north of you.

    That is such a lovely view. Great Job.!! I have never mounted any of my orchids on the several trees that I have in my garden because I grow for competition, and must be able to take the plants to Shows. You have given me a grest idea, so I will now look for some Dens. that I have more than one of or some Keikis and start mounting them on the trees.

    It does get hot sometimes in the upper 90 but that palm tree is gotten so big that when its the hottest time of the day it gives them shade plus the front of the house faces south which helps and the only time they get sun is early morning and late afternoon.

    Beautiful! i have always liked the idea of mounting orchids on palm trees.. But I cant do it here in my area because of the yearly flooding!

    i could mount any orchid but they would not get chance to adhere to the mount.....homeless people and druggies roam the streets.....the orchids will just disappear and i may see them for sale bare rooted in the market...unless i get dogs....
