This phal grew a bunch of roots last Spring and when I finally repotted I discovered ALL of the roots in the old medium were dead, just hanging there like a bunch of limp spaghetti. So I've been misting it daily. This particular misting just sat there for hours.

Beautiful photos! Be sure to keep a fan blowing on your orchids so that they dry off after misting and watering to avoid issues.

Just goes to show how well adapted phals are to living "on air": since your plant was doing very well purely by means of the arial roots! Of course it also shows you are a good grower- you obviously provide a good level of humidity etc.
Don't you feel that if there is ever a nuclear armageddon... the surviving cocroaches will have to share their sad new world with PHALS O yes- Phals will see us all out!

Gotta love those tough phals...and I love those aerial roots. I have many many pictures of phal roots growing through and around various things. Your plants look healthy and i'm sure they will grow new roots soon. You might want to add a drop of superthrive to your misting water, it helps plants grow new roots faster. (and it only takes a drop or two in a liter of water)
