Approx. 5 weeks after potting my Pleiones in S/H one has bloomed and the other is still growing.
I just love S/H, I even placed all my Hyacinth bulbs into S/H.

Now that's an orchid we won't see in the tropics. Thanks for posting.Your plants seem to love S/H.
Cant grow here too hot so nice.

Wow! love the orchid and the idea!....Now to find the orchid...what is the name of this one?
I can't help but buy one every winter, they sell them bare bulb with single shoot for about a dollar... simply can't go home without one! mine is sprouting up like a champ but weather report says 30 degrees by Monday... oh well, ill take an early summer over this bloom I suppose!

Very pretty! Always wanted one of these.
I hate to throw cold water on this, but my long-term experiments with plieones in S/H suggests it's not such a great idea: As the new corms grow, they did not stay subsurface as they are supposed to, but became a gnarled mass on the top.
