Hi all, just a quick update on my Phrag.Wallisii X Caudatum. It's coming along nicely. The inspiration behind this bud form and the plant itself is the sheer beauty of it. It is hard to watch it grow at its pace, I can hardly wait.

Nice plant.
Thanks Floyd!
won't be long now! Congrats! I believe the name of this cross is Phrag Tall Tails
Looking forward to seeing blooms.
I have a Tall Tails. I have had to for a year now and I am pretty sure that the newest growth has now finished maturing. I looked down the crown yesterday and I am sure that I can see a spike forming!! So excited. Good luck with yours, I can't wait to see the blooms.
Hi Susie, a very good sign of spike forming is the size of the central newest leaves. They considerably decrease in size and then a bud formation follows.
You have a beautifully grown plant. The flower will take awhile to form but the wait will be well worth it.
Good luck
Ed
Thanks for that Gurj. I have actually bloomed several phrags and paphs so I am aware that the spike follows the sheath - normally. I shall let you know which one it turns out to be
