I bought this plant labelled as Encyc cordigera semi-alb, which clearly it isn't.
However a little investigation shows that there are only about 3 pink Encyclias, and the identification becomes certain from the flower stem, which is covered with these curious glands, making it rough to the touch. In fact one of the synonyms is Encyc verrucosa - and verrucosa is Latin for warty, or rough.
Flowers about 3inch, 8cm or so. Pleasant perfume , along the lines of some cattleyas, which are fairly near relations. Flower stem some 30 inches high.
According to the books it could have more flowers, but this is a first flowering after three years culture, ande maybe I can grow it bigger and better next year.
