Default vanda Cindy Banks 'Bill's Choice'

Waited over a year and a half to see this bloom, very happy with the outcome. A very nice fragrance.

I'd be happy as well if I had such a blooming. Will show it to mine and see if they follow the example.

These are super flowers indeed Ed. Mine bloomed two years straight two to three times a year. I rebasketed this year and it failed to bloom. The old wood basket it came in was rotten and the medium bark media was falling out slowly but surely. I have found that when there is plenty of media in a Vanda pot or basket the central roots are all dead. It's the roots climbing outside the basket or pot that seem to sustain the plant. You talked about diffferent cultural experiences. This is my experience. Over the long term media stuffed baskets/pots kill roots. The exception is putting (lightly) moss around Aerides roots. They seem to love the added moisture it provides. AL
