Hi everyone,

Today we have made some significant changes to both the main forum software and the mobile site. The most drastic physical changes will be seen in the mobile site. I'll do an update on that separate from this post.

Please post bug issues in this thread or use the contact us link to let us know if you notice something not working the way it has in the past.

The navbar (the tabs at the top of the forum) have changed. Some links have been removed and others added. Take a few minutes to click the links and see if you have permission and can access all the areas you have in the past.

Also with this update comes the double post prevention feature. In the past this has been enabled only for new members. With this software update, vbulletin has hard coded it into the software. This simply means that if you respond to a thread and then respond again within the set limit of time, your posts will be automatically merged to keep from bumping to the top of the list unnecessarily.

In your 'settings' page (link top right of the forum) you will now be able to see both the reputation you have given other members as well as the reputation points others have given to you.

Also notice that OrchidBids is now back online. While on the settings page, mentioned in the previous paragraph, notice that now that if you have permission to use OrchidBids, you will find a link on the left side of the page to post a new listing or check out the help link on how to use the feature.

The software for OrchidBids has undergone several changes.
Briefly -
1. You are no longer required to create an OrchidBids profile. Your normal member profile will serve that function since only members wih 20+ posts and who have been active in the last month will be able to use the feature.
2. Notice that now there is a Free option. This is to use if you have something you would like to simply give away.
3. Also notice I've removed the auction option. In the past people have opted to buy directly or sell with a set price, so the auction feature has been removed. I may add it back at a later time, but for now this keeps the system very easy to program and update.
4. I'll be updating the help page with more information at a later date.


Do let me know if something isn't working correctly. It has been a long seven hours of programming and I'm sure I missed something.

Thank you so much! I was hoping to use the OrchidBid feature since I joined, really looking forward to it! Of course I just spent my orchid money and bought three beauties that will be shipped this week.
