Phalaenopsis has me stunned!

Long story short ..

This Phal was producing a spike around May when one day the shelf collapsed and she went flying against the wall with objects crushing her. This left her with a broken leaf and several other splits on remaining leaves. Of course her spike was also snapped. I was devestated no doubt. So i let her rest gave her plenty of light and feed that she likes thinking that i will let her focus on growing more leaves and then she can flower next year then today to my VERY BIG surprise.....

She has a new spike... I can't believe she is wanting to flower after her big fall .... I gues she must carry on with her rhythem and flower hope this will not take a toll on her vegetative health. Are Phals so amazin???

Awesome! Fortunately you do have a good big plant left, even after the fall, so she should be able to support flowers. Maybe the shock will cause her to throw you a keiki too!

This has happened to me several times, either the wind will knock them down, or my lovely kitties will, I understand you 100%!! I have a compact Phal that has done this too. Mother nature's extra gift of course!! Congratulations and enjoy!!
