Connie I forgot to mention how great your greenhouse and plants look. We have enjoyed a very late autumn here and I just brought all my orchids in this week. The temps were finally getting below 55 and now we have had frosts the last few evenings. I still have my 12 cymbidiums outdoors but that will probably
End next week and they will join the other 150 plus orchids in the basement. Sure wish I had a greenhouse like yours.
I, like you have lost the show my plants bug. I am now just growing them for me and my enjoyment. I haven't posted much on here due to time and being too lazy to up-load the pics . I have noticed a lot of regulars absent from the forum but am happy to see new orchid lovers joining. Like you , I follow the great advice that a beautiful plant rarely blooms well. It seems the tougher an orchid is treated or the more it is neglected the more blooms I am rewarded with. Again thanks for sharing your plants in there lovely winter home with us.

Thanks Bill...it's been a super busy summer for us as well. Everytime I think I have a grip on it all something new pops up. I had noted the absence of others as well and thought i'd try to spice things up around here. I am getting caught up and should be back full time. I am going to just be my normal self and keep the "onwards and upwards" attitude going. There are too many people with cool orchids to quit now...lol. I just get frustrated some days...I so appreciate everyone's comments about the greenhouse. I spent several days getting things ready and was pretty happy with myself...if not a little worn out. I'll have to update when I get the cattleya in. It's going to be fun getting them all in there this year.

I plan to get my orchids into the tent this weekend or next. Yours looks wonderful, clean and well organized.

I never complain about too many orchids, until I am ready to take them off tree branches, move them away from corners of patio.

Nice greenhouse, Connie! We're so lucky here as we only need shade houses for the majority of our orchids. I really have to downsize my collection as my shade house is now too small for my collection.

Yeah, I was looking around after putting the vandas in wondering where i'm going to put all the cattleya. lol I love keeping the greenhouse empty all summer since the heat of the sun kills the bacteria and fungus. I clean it up and then begin organizing shelves, etc. When the temps hit a certain spot I begin hauling them in. And yeah, that's when I realize I have wayyyy to many orchids too. Ah well, it keeps me in good shape.
