Wow! Looks sort of like a rhodie. Sort of.
Very dramatic and colorful - thanks for posting, Tanya!

That is a wonderful tree. I believe that it is a (Delonix Regia) Royal Poinciana or in that family.

Beautiful ! Molly would it grow in Fl.? if so I may move lol Gin
Yes they do grow in Fl, and can reach 40' We also have a Jacaranda tree that is lavender that is every bit as pretty, I think that they are cousins. Same kind of Mimosa leaves. Come on Down, if you like hurricanes!!!
I noticed the mimosa leaves we have them here, the pink fluffy ones .
Trade you for tornados ! . I have a sister in law in Ocala she just got back in her house after a year it had to be completly rebuilt , they lived in thier travel trailer . Gin
I'll take hurricanes over tornados any day of the week.
Molly, I think you are right, it is the Delonix regia. The jacarandas are also in full bloom but they are too high for me. There is a tree though with purple flowers and big, look like hibiscus, and the tree are not too tall, and they are in bud........a couple of weeks more....maybe shorter![]()
Wow, they are quite spectacular aren't they... there are a couple of them on our street but they are only babies... maybe a few more years![]()
