I have been looking at the awards given to winning orchids and it seems like there are two classes (if you will) that they are given under.
1. The award is given to the 'breed'. So if it was chickens: You created a new breed of chicken that lays bigger eggs and they are a brilliant green, unlike any other breed. The award would apply to all the pure offspring as well, as the breed has been noted as being superior, not just a specific individual. (CBR, CHM, AD, AQ)
2. The award is given to an individual. So if it was chickens: You show a bird who wins Champion. The award does not apply to offspring, since it was the bird who was shown, not the breed- but using this bird will likely result in better offspring. (CCE, CCM)
Am I understanding this right?
