    Smile Phal amboinensis In Bloom

    I bought this species Phal amboinensis (amboinensis 'Carriage Hill Gold' AM/AOS x amboinensis 'Montclair') a year ago. It was in bloom at that time and has now come back into bloom for me. It has always given me a single flower per spike at a time. This orchid does have a second spike but it is not yet in flower. The near overexposed leaves were from artificial lights.

    Congrats Harvey what I see all are very pretty ambonensis I like the scent too so nice BTW what is the black patch on the second photo?

    Don't know. It has been there for a long time, maybe since I have had it. It doesn't seem to be causing any issues nor is it increasing in size. I am going to leave it and monitor it. I don't know what else to do other than perhaps treat it. But it seem benign at present. One day when I lose that leaf, I may get to see if it is on the next leaf.
