Hello everyone
This spring I bought a few pleione formasana orchids. They arrived in May, already bloomed away with leaves. I keep them in a big pot, between my rose bushes and they developed each 2 new bulbs. We had extremely hot weather in July and August followed by a sudden drop in temperatures, with cool weather for 2 weeks in September. I noticed today that 4 of the new bulbs show signs of forming flowers spikes. So I am wondering if this is normal, or is the extreme weather we had the cause. I wanted to keep the pot sheltered outside for the winter but now I am afraid that if the spikes start forming now (and we have a long and warm autumn predicted), they will be damaged during the winter.
Any advice is welcome
Thank you

. I wish I grew Pleione but is too hot and won't survive.
