Help with Schomburgkia

Looks healthy. Schomburgkias do take some time getting established (growing a set of new roots), especially from a cutting. The subsequent bulbs should grow larger.

Hi! Here's an update of my schomburgkia. It's a small pseudobulb and it's starting to produce roots (red circle). Judging by the size of the pseudobulb I think it won't bloom this season. I guess I'll have to wait a couple of years until the newer pseudobulbs grow bigger as the old ones right?

They should reach the size of the older ones this year. When it flowers, depends on species or breeding. In the 1st pic you pointed out the roots starting on the newest pseudobulb but other roots in there are growing as well. That indicates that the plant is very happy.

Hi! This is how the new roots are going. Unfortunately, some roots were "chewed" by some kind of insect, I've seen some ants and little spiders around the orchid, don't know if them are the culprits. New roots are growing from the old ones as well.

Also, I started to see that some roots are covered with some kind of moss or algae, and that's why they look green when they're dry. Is that harmful for the roots?

Looking Great! Spiders very, very good. Ants may be a problem if they bring sucking insects such as mealy bugs, or scale. Some ants are predatory on the aforementioned . Green stuff (algae) not a problem. Might also be dye from fertilizer. Also shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks! I thought algae might kill the roots. However, the orchid seems to be happy. By the way, I think a new pseudobulb is starting to develop because one of the buds of the newer pseudobulb started to open. In a couple of days I'll know it.

Hello! It definitely started to produce not one but two new growths! One bud it's clearly developing, the other one looks like it's just starting.
