My Greenhouse Orchid Area

In the late spring I had to move all my orchids from my one greenhouse in the sun to the new one that's under a large shade tree. Even though I have 60% shade cloth on the one in the sun it was still way too hot in it for my Orchids. It's not a real fancy setup but it works for me.

Thanks both of you. They're loving this weather change here in Texas. Temps in the mid to upper 80s and high humidity.

Nice. I had to drag my warm loving orchids inside this evening. We are supposed to get to upper 40's tonight. Not sure what tomorrow night is forecast for. But it is getting close to the end of the outdoor orchid season here in metro Denver.

Wow, already. That's a shame that you have to drag them in already but you've got to protect them.

Yeah, I should be able to get them back out for another week or 2 but not much more. Ones that don't mind 40's overnight can stay out for another month.

They enjoyed the outside while they were there. I am hoping more phals pop spikes from the cool nights they've gotten to experience.

Mine probably won't start putting out spikes until maybe November. That's usually when I start running my propane heaters in the greenhouse.

Thank you, right now one whole side is for orchids the other is for my Adenium and Plumeria seedlings and some Selenicereus cactus cuttings.
