Plant arrived in my collection in the Spring last year, and has been in flower continuously ever since ; it seems that upwards of a dozen nodes are capable of flowering on the 15-16 inch canes, but not all at once ( in my culture so far ) . And each node produces a spray of three long-lasting flowers which are a bit over 2 1/2 inches across. Some of last years canes are flowering currently, but the last three made up, not yet flowering.
The plant is shown in a 5 inch pot, but actually is growing in a slightly smaller one, - the one seen, the outer pot, is just for stability, although I shall repot as soon a this years new canes start and start rooting probably using the 5 inch or maybe slightly larger.
The ordinary, not album variety, is on my wish list !
By the way, the "black eye" in each flower is much nearer black to my eyes, and the camera is recording as a red hue what is probably in the infra-red and hence invisible to me.
