    Default Spring Doll 'Sweetheart' HCC-AOS

    Grrr not Braveheart or Sweatheart but Sweetheart! This one was coming along beautifully until a few days ago when I discovered some of the app. 140 buds were disfigured. I had hoped to display it at a show coming up on the 11th but with missing petals that ain't gonna happen! Don't know what caused that but I hope it won't do it again next year.

    Third one Azizan. Middle flower and the one to the right. The red is the lip of a flower that is almost fully open.

    I still don't quite get it, I am not good with Dendrobium flower structure. Maybe someone could diagnose the problem.

    The flower in the second picture is normal. A lip with 5 petals/sepals. The one in the third picture only has a lip and the two petals/sepals next to it. So the three are missing. I wish there were a diagnosis that would allow a correction but I think its a genetic issue.
