Good Morning Everyone!,
I got a orchid shipment in the mail last night. Low and behold the blooming sized orchid actually turned out to be a specimen size. Rhyncostylis coelestis blue. With 5 fans on it. 2 immature but still very substantial. This is a gift for my grandfather but seeing as he’s also a windowsill grower and is approaching his mid 80’s; how was he going to take care of this? So I decided to get my tools and prepare for a division. An hour later and we have 3 nice divisions safely removed from that 4” plastic basket. In a month when his birthday arrives I’m going to get a glass vase to display it in. I know this might not be the most appropriate forum to post this on. But I wanted to share my adventures with the orchid family here on the forum. Happy Growing everyone!
