Default Stem rot?? Very poor roots :-(

I received an orchid about a month and a half ago and decided to repot it. I only recently started researching deeper into taking care of these lovely plants, and I deeply regret neglecting this one!! Her stem is a dark color and I suspect rotting, and the roots were completely rotted. I trimmed away all the mushy ones which left me with these stubby, yellow roots that don’t look very good either. Right now, I’m too afraid to try something dramatic like cutting off the blackened stem, transferring her to a water culture or treating her with green tea soaking. (Id like a personal opinion on what I should do!) she is resting in a bark medium and I’m misting her daily but I really want to know if there is anyway I can asist her recovery. I’ve looked into fertilizers like kelpmax and superthrive, but they are kinda pricey and again, I’d like to receive advice if it’s worth the investment before purchasing. I have the spike and mist fertilizer from Miracle Grow (I mist once a week and I’m debating on using the spike) and overal I’m just really hesitant and afraid of hurting my plant. Please help!

Oops I forgot to attach an image. I’m also wondering if this is a case of fusarium!!
