Laelia? . . . . . or what?

Sorry to be a pest with so many ID questions, I appreciate your patience and help.

A little background - Many of my plants originally belonged to my mother.
I brought them from FL to NC when she passed away in '93.

I really treasure them, and have been doing my best to meet their needs,
but it's kinda challenging when you don't really know what you've got.
You see, it was mom's habit to throw away the lables, she thought they were ugly.

I do know that figuring out real specifics can be nearly impossible,
but with the tremendous wealth of knowledge here . . .
. . . well anything I learn can only help.

Okay, enough of my boring story.
This is blooming now, I think I see Laelia (or maybe not), any opinions?

Look like it's a Laeliocattleya (Laelia x Cattleya)

My guess on the parentage: Laelia anceps x Cattleya bowrigiana (or possibly Cat. skinerii)

You can count on Pat for an informed answer (thank you Pat!). I just wanted to say that I think your story about your Mom is very touching. I can't imagine a better legacy than beautiful, living orchids. I hope my kids feel the same way when I'm gone. (They sure don't show any interest right now!)

You're right Lynda, I admit I wondered if I was doing the right thing to bring them all here,
so far from their "comfort zone", especially when I'm no expert in their care.
But, I'm so glad I did, I always feel very close to my mom when I'm in the glasshouse.

They are wonderful. Since I am now 75 years old, I wonder who will love my orchids when I'm no longer able to care for them. Perhaps 20 years or so from now? LOL

The Laelia influence is strong, but there's definitely bifoliate Cattleya in there as well. If Pat doesn't have it right, he's very close.
