    Default Bllra. Marfitch 'Unicorn Splendor'

    Must be the Marfitch season. My Marfitch opened this week. Unlike Clint's 'Red Fox' I have the clone 'Unicorn Splendor'. The pattern is very close to 'Red Fox' but 'Unicorn Splendor' has less spotting on the petals and a slightly different lip pattern. The petals also seem to be a little more elongated. Typical of Marfitch, the flowers are quite large and the spike is over 2 feet long with 12 flowers.

    All right...I've just had a long talk with my Marfitch and I explained the Marfitch season thing to it, and that it better start performing. Soon! I'm waiting! Can you say...salad shooter?

    That must really be showy with the long spikes and the large magenta flowers. I particularly like the spots! Everytime you post one of your oncids I end up wanting it!
