Hey, pretty Nancy!...funny how this forum can be so inspiring! LOL! I keep seeing the new pics of this one and my gut reaction is always that it isn't a favorite, but if I look at it enough, certain things about it reallly start to stand out and grow on me...I have really come to *love* the pouch, and the dorsal is such an unusual contrast...a month ago I am not sure I could have said that!
Thanks for posting, and I don't think it looks droopy!
So you getting the Mtn. Maid for sure? Inquiring minds, you know!

Hi, Nancy!
That is my favorite sequential blooming Paph from the Cochlopetalum group! I have one and it is forever in bloom, make sure that you do not cut the spike off, it will rebloom over a long period of time.
Thanks for sharing! And hope you enjoy your new plant!![]()
Hi Heather! I know you don't like the hairy petals, but I find them to be so delicate! My favorite thing about the moquettianum is definitely the pouch too...and the color is so elegant, I think!Originally Posted by Heather
Yes, I did order the MM! Of course I'll post photos once it arrives!
Very nice , i like moustacheod Paphs.
nice one. This one has been on my wish list for some time now. someday one will come home with me.
That is a lovely bloom, Nancy! I love the pouch too. Every time I see this particular orchid bloom, I can't help thinking that the petals should be just a bit longer though -- to make it seem more balanced. I always feel like they are a bit short. I remember when Prem posted his; I thought the same thing.
Anybody know of a Paph that has the same characteristics/ color as this one with longer /fuller petals?
Cheers!

very nice Nancy! (you'll get sick of the flowers after a while)
brutal: try a Vanguard (glaucophyllum x roths). The coloration is similar and of course the petals are lengthened. There is some difference depending on whether glauco or moquettianum are used (RHS considers them the same species); but both are nice.
Thanks Jason! I will look it up now!
Cheers!

I always liked the way the petals twist in opposite directions.
