I have a noid milt that looks just like "Red Tide" and so far it is going well, I think. It had a little bit of accordioning on new growth when I got it, but it has three new bulbs growing enthusiasitically and no more accordioning either. Blooms are starting to fade right now but they have a good 2 months behind them already. I'm watering once a week and so far it seems fine. Long term is yet to come though....

So, what I am trying to say, is Judi - give them a try! Humid and cool sounds perfect for us jet-streamers! (rains all the time, hard to get over 20C/70F even though it's almost July....sound familiar?)

I'm jealous. These beauties won't grow where I live; rarely over 40% humidity. I've got the mountains, but not the cloud forest! ha

That is one FANTASTIC Milt! I got my first one today, and I am absolutely besotted! That's another species to accomodate! The infection progresses, no cure is possible! (thank goodness) Judi
