Happy Birthday To Me

Well it came and went, but will not be forgotten. In the mail today my b'day gift to myself arrived. One shiny new edition of "Orchids Through Our Eyes" and also McJulies "Through the Eyes of a Raptor" Was so happy with my presents to myself that I went straight out and bought 2 "bag babies". Now that's a b'day to remember!

Did you bag babies have tags? What did you get?

They did have tags. Slc Jewel Box 'Scheherezade' and Blc. Mem. Anna Balmores 'Convex'. I was lucky because they had just come in to the store and they hadn't had a chance to kill them yet. But they were going to try, they left them outside in the garden center that night and temp dipped to the low 30's. I argued with them and told them that orchids couldn't survive those kind of temps, but you know how it is. They really don't care. If they die the vendor takes them back is what they told me.

That's true. That's why the big boxes don't discount orchids--they sell them full price or send them back for credit. The Jewel Box is a wonderful orchid and has been on my wish list for some time. The Anna Balmores I believe is a gorgeous white semi-alba. What nice gifts!

Happy Birthday Ischel, and what fantastic brithday presents... How are you enjoying the books??? Aren't the orchid pictures just amazing! Epsecially on page 13

And are you getting carried away with all the rune reading of Through the Eyes of a Raptor? I totally am enjoying reading it.. I just wish I had more time...

The orchids are great too... look forward to seeing them in flower!

oh and make sure you change that setting on your USer CP, it's not fair that we can't greet you earlier
