I live in Texas and between 1:15 - 4:15 the sun bears down on my greenhouse particularily on the west side. The rest of the time it is covered by trees and the temp inside the Greenhose is 83. The last few weeks the outside the greenhouse temperature during 1:15- 4:15 is over 100 F. I have a Swamp Cooler inside the GH that goes 24 hours a day and blows lots of air around.I also have a strong set of misters and a "shade tarp" which I got to cover the area where the sun comes in . The temperature inside the Greenhouse is fine (83) except between 1:15 - 4:15 where if I don't turn on the mister for a while the temp climbs to 97 at times. To keep it in the 80's between 1:15 - 4:15 I turn on the mister for about half the time for 15 minutes at a time . No misting past 4:15 . Also I quite watering except with the mister and it seems to be pretty well dried out by noon everyday. All my Orchids seem to be Ok right now but I'm scared there is too much water in the roots in some of the non barck plants. Probably by Sept 1 I will be OK but its just this 6 weeks July 15-Sept 1 that I will have to figure out how to keep the greenhouse in the mid 80's.. Am I Ok????
