I just obtained a Sophrolaliea orchid and need advise on watering it. My research suggests that Soph. need to be kept moist at all times and that Lalieas need rather dry winter rest period. You can't have it both ways. I have it in med. fir bark and my inclination is to water it once a week year-round with rain water -PH 6/6.5. My Wardian case maintains 70% RH, intermediate temp ranges and 24/7 air movement. Your thoughts?
