As far as I am concern I already used more than one year still in a good condition except its will attract algae , fern to germinate faster and need regular check up and cleaning.

I believe the pH would change from time to time but offset by regular watering.

The disadvantages are:
1. really very light when dry and easily topple by wind ( plastic pot).
2. good medium for algae and fern to germinate
3. not suitable for all orchids esp, phal.
