Hello everyone!
I love to look at the pictures of orchid growing areas - it is so inspiring! And simply raises my mood immediately.

But reading posts here about care and looking at the orchids growing outside in Florida I started wandering - HOW DOES IT WORK?
How come wind and rains don't beat plants up? (Especially hanging ones);
How insects don't chew them all up? (My new phal got it's new roots tips bitten off after just one night outside);
How come plants don't get a crown rot after rains? (My symbidium got it after getting under it's first rain outside).

Thanks in advance for enlighting me! All this orchid thing is really very contageous...
