That's right...
be prepared to be amazed at the beautiful pictures of Slipper Orchids!
As the strongest proponent of the Paph cause, I'm here to show you all why everyone should have at least 1... nay, at least 3 Paphs in their collection!
So here we go with the Paph catwalk!
Paph micranthum and Paph Yospur (the darker of the two)
just look at that meaty and dark substance of the Yospur and talk about those cute fat little leaves on the micranthum!
2. Paph ciliolare
i just love the clean pattern on this clone of the species...
3. Paph wardii
this should appeal to those who like snake skins...
4. Paph micranthum
I've seen many variations on leaves of Paph micranthums and there are many beautiful ones around... I really like this particular one for the amount of dark green on it.
5. Paph concolor
i love the patterning on this concolor... reminds me a little of maidenhair leaves.
6. Paph Ho Chi Minh
ok, now how about this for leaves!!! I just love the shiny-ness of it... that would have come from the Paph vietnamense parent.... talking of which I need to get me another one of those....
and have you had enough yet? well ok, last one...
and for something different...
7. Paph emersonii
the worst photograph of the prettiest mainly green leaf Paph.. it just has the slightest hint of mottling and well... the extension of the leaves are so graceful... I should really take a better photo.
anyhows, hope a few of you are inspired to start growing Paphs even if only for the leaves (and the flower as a bonus.. though what an amazing bonus!)
cheers
tim
