Default Just when I was on the brink of despair...

Hi all help me out with this please,

I posted another thread stating my anger at getting ANOTHER terminal spike. Well my kitten knocked over my phal with the first terminal spike, so, since I didn't give up hope, I picked it up and took it to the kitchen to repot it in its bark.

I noticed this growing out of the terminal spike. It looks like a leaf. I thought keiki's would grow from the base. Is this maybe a keiki coming through, or is it trying to grow from here now? Keeping my fingers crossed!!! The flowers were beautiful, I will post a pic of them too. I would love to be able to save this little one!!
