Regarding water: Water and let it completely dry out. Then, water again. I wonder if you really need all that sphag on the roots? If it was me, i would pull over half of that off of there and water more often.n I think the roots are going to be much prettier than a big bunch of wet sphag.

I agree too much Sphag. My humidity is good. so mine get's watered 2x per week in winter 3-4 x/wk in summer
